What is "trade" in reference too?

Watching tonight's episode left me wandering what trade meant. There isn't a gay community where I live so I'm a little out of the loop.
Top Comment: Trade usually refers to a guy who you “can’t tell” is gay. So more “masculine” or “straight-acting” guys. It can also be used kind of ironically or in sort of a catty way to point out guys who think they’re hiding it, but they’re really not.
